Description:
What is the difference between practicing and training? Training is a more progressed phase than practicing. Training is what creates simulations. For example: how does a child learn to stand? He would first try to imitate us, he would grab a table or sofa in his hand, fall, get up again, to the voice of audience applause, till he would get to stabilized with no help. Both stages are all about practice and learning. The next step will be to be trained in using the technique. In this phase of training a new dimension will get in place: making the decision on when to stand, when to bend down and when to sit, and how to do it the fastest and most efficient way. Repeating the learnt technique is practicing. The understanding, however, of when and how to use the technique in real time or even in stressful occasions (more about the difference between stress and tension will be detailed in the chapter: How stressful), or improvement of the ability to act faster is the training step. The purpose of training is to prepare us for real time situations.
