Today I want to point out to you the importance of building your own brand.
Instead of building the brand and list of some other product owner.
It is far too easy for you to loose all of your efforts when you do that.
You need to build your own brand and your own list if you are ever going to succede in your own online business.
You need your own customers to buy from you.
You need to get your customers to know you to like you and to trust you before they will consider buying from you.
This know like Trust building process is known as
Branding yourself.
There are five main steps in building your brand.
1. You need to have your own domain name and you really need to use your own name as your domain name.
I have RegWhelan.info.
You might have to use a domain name that includes your name like Reg-Whelan-GVO.com
2. You need to have your domain name hosted and you need to install a wordpress blog.
Search engines like wordpress because it can be updated frequently and easily.
Don't use a free Blog site as you are not in charge and you really are at the mercy of the blog host.
3. It is very important that you have a professional autoresponder and that you place a form on your site to be able to collect visitor's email addresses.
You need to be able to remind people to visit your site and you need a list of people whom you want to get to Know Like and Trust you.
4. You need to post articles relevant to your business, product/s or service/s.
You also need to record and host videos as these are an important part of your branding process and in building traffic for your website.
5. You need to attract and drive traffic to your website.
Social networks, Traffic Exchanges, List Builders and article marketing all have great potential to drive traffic to your website.
If you have more experience in building your websites you will be able to get natural organic free traffic using improved natural SEO methods.
