The EDC board chairperson thanked everyone, especially the District Commissioner and his royal highness
chief Ndake for having attended the event. He said that we needed to be responsive to the programmes,
policies and plans that the government developed as active citizenry if we were to develop socially and
economically as a nation. A poor nation is reflective of how its poor people were. Therefore, it was
imperative that we took an active role in participating in the social and economic development of the nation.
And what was witnessed on that day was a clear indication of the desire of the EDC to take up challenges as
a private sector player.
